Big Brown Bat Painting

This painting of a Big Brown Bat (with cameos from flowers and insects) was a focal point of my first solo show, “Curaga.” All of the species depicted here are threatened on some level in the midwest, and my body of work for the show explored the connections between them. This painting is a reminder of our species’ co-dependence and honors the unique beauty of our threatened wildlife. It will inspire conversation, optimism, and appreciation for the natural world in your home.
